What are the different types of alloys?

Mostly there are four types of alloys found in the market & those are

1. Standard Alloy wheels

These type of alloy wheels are mostly painted alloy wheels. Commonly or frequently we come across these type of alloy wheels. So these are known as standard alloy wheels.

2. Diamond cut or polished alloy wheels

These wheels have very shiny silver metal looking or polished appearance & this would normally be the result of having a diamond cut finish. A diamond cut finish is achieved by machining the face of the wheel on a lathe in a specialized process.

3. Split rim wheels

Split rim wheels are usually easy to identify. They have a series of small bolts around the rim of the wheel & the reason is a split rim wheel is made up of two or three parts, held together by these small bolts.

4. Spinner wheels

The modern spinner device is a decorative kinetic attachment to the alloy wheel .The spinner covers the centre of a car's wheel and is designed to independently rotate by using one or more roller bearings to isolate the spinner from the wheel, enabling it to turn while the wheel is at rest.
